The Alcazaba and Gibralfaro
The Alcazaba and Gibralfaro are two Moorish fortresses that dominate the skyline of Malaga. The Alcazaba, built in the 11th century, is a beautiful example of Moorish architecture and is one of the best-preserved fortresses of its kind in Spain. The Gibralfaro, located on a hill overlooking the city, offers stunning views of the city and the Mediterranean Sea.

The Atarazanas market is a lively and colorful market that offers a taste of local life in Malaga. Here, you can find fresh produce, seafood, meats, cheeses, and other local specialties. The market is housed in a beautiful 19th-century building with a stunning stained glass window.

Malaga is home to an impressive number of museums, covering a wide range of subjects. In addition to the Picasso Museum, there is also the Carmen Thyssen Museum, which houses a collection of Spanish and Andalusian art, and the Centre Pompidou Malaga, the first branch of the famed Parisian institute outside of France. The Museum of Malaga is another must-see, with its collection of archaeology, fine arts, and ethnology.

Malaga boasts miles of sandy beaches, perfect for soaking up the sun and enjoying the Mediterranean Sea. The beachfront is lined with chiringuitos, or beachfront restaurants, where you can enjoy fresh seafood and other local specialties.
